One day, Mr. B. assigned a creative writing assignment in which we were free to choose the topic. For the first time in elementary school I was given the liberty to write about whatever theme interested me. Without hesitation, I began composing an Egyptian adventure story about a lost treasure. Once the due date came, I found myself so engrossed in my writing that it saddened me to end it. I still had so much to say. I had finally accumulated enough English vocabulary to express the story I imagined. I asked Mr. B if I could keep writing. To my surprise he agreed and said I had as much time as I needed.
